The CWD is to know what we do. This is one of several transmissible spongiform encephalopathies (TSEs). This is what Wikipedia has to say.
The Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) is a transmissible spongiform encephalopathy (TSE) of deer, elk (wapiti) and elk. TSEs are caused by unusual pathogens such as prions. So far the disease has been found mainly in cervids (members of the deer family). First recognized as a clinical wear "syndrome in 1967 in mule deer at a wildlife research in northern Colorado, has been identified as a TSE in 1978. The CWD is characterized by chronic weight loss leading to death. There is no known link between CWD and other TSE of animals or people. Although there are reports in the tabloid press of people, found that of chronic wasting disease, a study by the CDC was concerned no relationship.
Most cases of CWD in the adult animal. The disease is progressive and always fatal. The clinical symptoms most clearly and consistently CWD is weight loss over time. As, changes in behavioror, in most cases produced, including interactions with other animals has decreased, apathy, loss of head, facial expression in white and walk in the fixed repetitive patterns. In Elche behavioral changes can also hyperexcitability and nervousness. Affected animals continue to eat grain but may show decreased interest in hay. Excessive salivation and grinding of teeth are also observed. Most deer show increased consumption and urine.
